Ask the team to explain each offer separately so you can decide which devices to sell. No bundle bonus or acceptance of every item is assumed. For company-owned equipment, confirm authorization and management removal with your IT administrator.
Compare Apple trade-in credit with a cash offer
Store credit can be useful if you already intend to buy another Apple device. Cash buyback is a different option when you want flexibility and do not need a replacement purchase. Compare final inspected amounts, payment timing, shipping requirements and any restrictions. Review your device
Visit our Chicago store for an inspection. We check the device details and explain the offer before you decide. For mail-in service, confirm eligibility and shipping instructions first.
Accept an offer. Get paid.
If you accept the final inspected offer, complete the ownership checks and device handover. Confirm the available payment method and timing with our team. You do not have to buy another device.
Before you hand over your Apple device.
- Back up your photos, messages and files, and confirm the backup is accessible before erasing anything.
- Transfer your phone number or eSIM and authenticator accounts to your replacement device before the handover.
- When you are ready to transfer ownership, sign out of your Apple Account, turn off Find My and erase your personal data. Enter your password yourself; never send it by text.
- Bring the device charged when safe, a valid photo ID and any proof of purchase you have. Tell us about repairs, payment plans or management restrictions before your visit.

Which Apple devices can I ask to sell?
Request an assessment for an iPhone, iPad, MacBook or Apple Watch. For other Apple products, contact us with the exact model first. Acceptance depends on the item, condition, ownership status and current demand.
Can I sell several Apple devices at once?
Yes, you can contact us about a group of devices. Provide the model, specifications and condition of each one. Ask for an itemized review; each device has its own eligibility and offer.
Is selling to 2A Electronics the same as Apple Trade In?
No. 2A Electronics Service is a separate local business. Our device buyback is not Apple's trade-in program and does not require you to purchase a new Apple product. Compare the actual offers and terms before deciding.
Can I sell a device that is still linked to an Apple Account?
You must be able to remove your account and Find My when transferring ownership. A factory reset alone may leave Activation Lock enabled. We do not bypass another person's account or ownership protections.
Do you buy school or business Apple devices?
Contact us first with the device details and your authorization to sell. The organization may need to release the device from its management and enrollment systems. Do not ship managed equipment before eligibility is confirmed.
Can I sell Apple devices if I am outside Chicago?
Ask about our mail-in process and confirm eligibility for each device before shipping. Our physical store is at 4859 W Irving Park Rd in Chicago; mail-in arrangements are handled separately.
What should I do with my data before selling?
Back up your data and transfer essential accounts first. When ready to hand over the device, sign out, remove Find My and erase your personal data following Apple's instructions. Never send your account password to anyone.
